This is a quick sketch I have made to go alongside my poem Make-believe:

My Girl Kiss. Dara Bolaji, 2019. Pencil on paper, 210 x 297 mm.

If anyone is familiar with the film My Girl this is a drawing of the scene in which the main character, Vada Sultenfuss, and her best friend, Thomas J. Sennett, share a first kiss. For the two characters, and for me (as this is one of my favourite childhood movies) this is a memorable moment.

I have just briefly sketched it out and I do intend to paint it soon.
